How much can you sell a hive of bees for? How much is it worth?

A hive of bees(a complete hive) actually sells at a high price than packages and nucs. Its worth ranges from $250 to $400 depending on the size and your location. This is because it contains many young honey bees, a laying queen, food resources, brood in all stages, and the frames. It also includes a bottom board, a standard deep box, and 10 fully drawn combs. The bee population usually ranges from  50,000-80,000 bees. A beekeeper should only sell a healthy hive free from disease and pests.

How much profit can a beekeeper make per hive?

Healthy and strong colonies in a region with abundant nectar supplies can make a profit of approximately $300-$500 per year. This is assuming that you are selling honey at a premium price and have a market for it. Backyard beekeepers can make a profit from their few hives with healthy colonies.
